Geocache Description:

Easy walk along a flat trail.

This cache replaces my original Shore Path cache. The cache is located along a century-old path following the shore-line in Bar Harbor. This is a VERY HIGH muggle area during tourist season but with a little finesse you can find it and sign the log without being too obvious. The container is a camo covered micro which was a necessity considering the spot. You will need to bring something to sign the log with. There is parking at the town wharf if you are lucky, or along any of the streets nearby and the path begins at the Bar Harbor Inn along the shore. There is also a locally known parking spot at the end of Albert Meadow St opposite the town square clock. This is a shorter walk and you will see the sign posted in the picture. The walk is wheelchair accessible but the cache isn't. The cache is located on the ocean-side of the path. Please be discreet while searching for the cache and DO NOT trespass on private property. The path is available DAWN TO DUSK. Check out the Balancing Rock which is best visible nearer low tide. Depending on snow/ice this cache may not be winter friendly. If rehid properly, the hint will be very helpful. This is a new cache replacing the original so it may be logged even if you found the old one.
