Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Ancoats area of Manchester City Centre. The location used to be known as 'Little Italy' due to the large population of Italians who began living and working in the area during the 19th Century.

Many of the settlers turned to the ice cream business for work and the area used to be populated by many Italian ice cream vendors, sadly none of which remain today.

This cache is located in front of a former Italian ice cream parlour. Although a completely different type of business occupies the location today (a woolly one) there is still a reminder of its past in the form of the stone front step which invites you to 'Enjoy Rice's Ices'.

The cache is disguised as a rusty bolt. PLEASE REPLACE EXACTLY AS FOUND, IN THE SAME POSITION. The location is not a bar or restaurant, try the other side of the road if your gps is leading you toward the pub.
