The Slaughter Beach Series is a series of caches placed among the public beach access roads and points of interest throughout this bayside town.
This cache was placed with permission on MEMORIAL DAY, 2012 (hint, hint). A special salute goes out to all of our veterans today. Thanks for keeping our country safe and a FREE place to go caching!!
This cache should be quite easy to find once you get to the coordinates. The difficulty here is in the puzzle. It should be a relatively easy C&D for most cachers, but certainly not an LPC or guardrail cache. I would never make you solve this and then come the whole way out here for that. ;) Even though it’s a C&D you might find that you want to stay near GZ for a few minutes longer than the actual cache takes.
Please do not steal the cache container. There are plenty more of them on the beach if you look hard enough. I “harvested” three of them in one short walk on the beach.
One last piece of information: the road to this cache is susceptible to flooding. Please DO NOT attempt this cache if the road is covered in water. If it’s low tide and there hasn’t been a storm recently you’re golden.
