Red 08 - Kissing Gate
The Milton Keynes Boundary Walk is approximately 65 miles long and follows the border of the MK Unitary Authority; it is waymarked with the Oakleaf symbol.
In 2012 a group a local geocachers divided the walk into sections and set a series of approximately 300 caches along the boundary. More information about the walk and caches can be found at the website Caching the Boundary.
The red section of the walk is approximately 6.5 miles long and starts at the A5 South of Aspley Heath, via Great Brickhill and ends in Newton Longville. The walk is mostly across farm land and in the middle part follows the Grand Union Canal.
There are 33 caches in this section - 24 traditionals, 6 letterboxes, 1 multi, 1 puzzle and 1 bonus. Each non-bonus cache contains a number to help you find the red bonus cache which is hidden towards the middle of the red section of the walk.
This is the eighth of the red section caches and is a small cliplock box. Be careful of barbed wire in the hedge as you're looking for the cache!
If you are doing the caches in reverse order, from red 32 to 1, after this cache the path reaches a road and Blue Gate Farm. Take the signposted 'alternate permissive path' rather than walking through the farm.
