Welcome to the Children’s Wood. The wood was started in 1992 one tree was planted for every child born in Taunton Deane in1993. In an area that we walk past nearly every day with the dogs, often thinking this would be a nice spot for a cache. We often see Heron, Little Egret, Swans, Ducks and lots of rabbits and if really lucky a Kingfisher.
Recommended parking would be at Hankridge Retail Park or at the end of Obridge Road by the allotments, please do not park at Wickes as you are likely to get clamped if you walk away from the car park area. Small clip lock container. Cache placed with kind permission from Taunton Deane borough Council.
