CACHING WITH SASQUATCH
Rumor has it that there are strange creatures roaming the woods and trails around the Mankato area! Some think it is just critters, some swear it is something bigger, walking upright on two feet. They see them in the woods, near the trails and in some of the most unlikely places. Could it be Bigfoot, Sasquatch? NO!, we know it is US!
This cache event was formally known as
OTAK 2010 GeoFest - Bike, Hike, & Crawl.
OTAK 2011 GeoFest - Geocaching In Space
Come and visit the Mankato area parks, trails, and area attractions. There will be over 30 NEW unpublished permanent caches, plus some temporary - all will be FUN! Put this event on your watch list for updates as the event date draws near!
There has been some activity just west of Mankato, we will have to research that area! THE EVENT HAS MOVED!
Follow us at on Twitter. Before and during the event for up to the minute updates! We will also have somebody at the registration area for most of the day to answer questions or to provide hints.
If you are just starting out as a Geocacher, or have never been to an event before, stop by any time during the event. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

We will have coordinates available for download to your device.
Delorme, Garmin, Lowrance, and Magellan.
We have MINI USB-B, MINI USB, AND MICRO USB cables.
If you are not sure, please bring your own. If you have a different brand of GPSr, we will try to assist you in loading the way points, but we make no guarantees that we will be successful. Permanent caches will be posted on Geocaching.com after 5 p.m.
We will be having a temporary travel bug hotel set up at registration so trading of trackables can occur. The travel bug hotel will be at the WOW Zone later in the day also. So any travel bugs placed in the hotel can be picked up and moved along to a new cache. Any travel bugs left over will be moved along by the OTAK group.
Caches are going to be a variety of Difficulty/Terrain
Bicycles are STRONGLY recommended for some portions of the event, as they will be on paved trails
Social hour 3:00-4:00 p.m. at WOW Zone
