Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the published co-ordinates!

See the description below.

The cache has been hidden in Krantzkloof Nature Reserve at a great viewpoint.

Two boffin types were talking about this cache .....

Phred was a land surveyor.  Barold was a mathematician, who really knew his trigonometry.

They had decided to try and hunt this cache down by referring to other nearby caches, because TN had let slip some information about where he had placed the cache.

Said Phred - "I know there is a baseline distance of 719.184 meters between Nut Teaser and Spit on a Stone for Greg."

"Hmmmm," said Barold - "Interesting, but that is not enough to find it, we need more information."

"Well, " replied Phred, "I also know that the direction from Nut Teaser to this cache is  95° 32' 53" from true north, and 275° 32' 53" from South, which is zero degrees for us surveyor types.   And it is exactly 1158.427 meters away in this direction.  Just that is enough for surveyors to find it. "

"Aaaah," remarked Barold. "well, for a trigonometrist, if we have a baseline distance, which would be one side of a triangle, plus any two angles, we can also calculate the exact position of the cache."

Phred quickly got out his calculator.  A few minutes later, he smiled.  Then said "The angle between the baseline and the cache from Nut Teaser is 0.59897274 radians, and the angle between the baseline and the cache from Spit on a stone for Greg is 109° 59' 23".  Now you should be able to work it out."

"Indeed I can" said Barold.  "I'll race you there!  But for other non-boffin types, should we should provide some web links to make it easier for them?"

"Nope," said Phred, "Geocachers are very resourceful types."
