ABOUT THE CHURCH
St Mary's is situated in the small hamlet of Compton, a little over one mile east of Farnham in the Waverley district of Surrey, and is the daughter church of St Andrew's Parish Church. It is built from local ironstone and was originally built as a school house for the local workhouse. The tiny congregation fought hard to save the church but it seems destined to be closed for the foreseeable future - such a shame.
