Come out and join us for an extended evening on this special date. All attendees will earn an exclusive 12-12-12 Souvenir in their GC profile. Simply log a "Found it" for a cache or an "Attended" for an Event Cache on 12-12-12.
Hundreds of geocaching Event Caches are already scheduled in more than 20 countries.
This is our last chance for a long, long time to get together on a date that has these three identical numbers. This particular date won't happen again for another 100 years.

Let's get together for some eats, drinks, and friendship after a day of 12-12 caching... the Coachella Valley way. Here's a chance for Valley regulars, our annual snowbirds, and anyone else willing to join us on this special day to get together. A little bird (but not a 'snowbird') chirped up that there will be some door prizes shaped like GC coins and trackables.

Do you have, or know of, any geo-caching achievements, completed challenges or milestones attained during 2012? Want someone you know to receive special recognition for anything geo-caching related? We want to recognize these accomplishments, achievements or people at this fun and festive year-end event.
Please e-mail me (Bukibear) or use my profile to send details so we will have the information well before the event. Don't be bashful ... tells us about any goals you reached (filled your stats graph) ... number of finds or hides (100th or 5,000th) ... favorite or most difficult finds ... humorous stories ... miles, states or countries travelled while caching ... (you get the idea). Anything geo-caching related is fair game.We don't have a group that meets regularly here in the Coachella Valley, so this is your chance to let everyone know about things you think are important to you ... or other cachers. It's time to give or take credit ... where credit is due ...

OPTIONAL PARTICIPATION
There is a local agency (not the USMC) that conducts a Christmas Toy Drive for needy children in the Coachella Valley. They have provided a valuable service for several years and have a solid reputation in the Desert communities.
IF YOU MIGHT BE SO INCLINED ... bring a new unwrapped toy (any age except 'infant') to contribute to the cause. We will collect the toys and deliver them to the agency under the name of ALL COACHELLA VALLEY GEOCACHERS. Since GS requests that specific agencies NOT be mentioned or promoted in cache and event listings, if you need or want to ask, feel free to message Bukibear or nevadanick through the member profile page and we'll give you the details. Participating is NOT required and all geocachers are welcome to attend the event. There will be no special considerations for those who contribute ... just the warm personal Holiday glow that comes with knowing that you helped make the Holidays a little bit better for some of our local kids.
