Es tönt wie Science Fiction: ein Gebäude verschieben?! Hier in Neu-Oerlikon wird dies zur Realität...
Im Mai 2012 wurde das Direktionsgebäude der ehemaligen Werkzeug- und Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon (MFO) um 60 Meter verschoben. Und das Gebäude ist nicht einfach ein Häuschen: es ist 80 Meter lang, 12 Meter breit und wiegt 6200 Tonnen! Die Kosten der ganzen Operation belaufen sich auf 12 Millionen Franken.
Das Ganze wurde im Fernsehen live dokumentiert und das Gebäude ist tatsächlich nicht zusammengekracht während der Verschiebung am 22./23. Mai, es steht jetzt am neuen Ort.
Dieser Cache soll dir einen (weiteren) Grund liefern, die ganze Sache anzuschauen.

The head office of the former Werkzeug- und Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon (MFO) was moved by 60 meters in May 2012. And it is not just a small little hut, but 80 meters long, 12 meters wide and weighs 6200 tons! The cost of the whole operation is about 12 million Swiss francs.
The process was broadcasted live and the building did actually survive the move on May 22nd/23rd and now stands at its new place.
This cache should give you an (additional) reason to go there and have a look.
