Geocache Description:

Cache located above the beautiful mining town of Unionville.

There is a good atv/ohv trail going right to the cache, but it is probably too narrow for a full sized vehicle. This would make a great overnight or decent length day hike. There is water running down the canyon, but probably needs treated before drinking. Great views of Buena Vista Valley, and a short hike above the cache would place you on top of the Humboldt Range with views of Rye Patch and the Humboldt River. There are also a lot of old mining prospects and shafts, so be careful when walking off of the beaten path. When placing the cache we were fortunate enough to see chukar, and deer. There are also trout in the creek.
