Geocache Description:

This 7+ mile Multi - Cache adventure consists of 4 Intermediate Caches (ICs), a Checkpoint Cache (CP) and a Final Cache. Each IC and the CP contain coordinates to the next IC and eventually to the Final Cache. A CP forces a specific inter-IC track direction. UTM Based Coordinates are used for all A22 references.

Difficulty Levels:
Terrain=4.5;Terrain Type=5;Navigation=5;Cache Retrieval=4;Energy=8.5
(See mycn18 Profile for "Difficulty Level Definitions")

Note: The 5 Overall Difficulty Level assumes A22 is Completed as a Solo, in a Single Day and under the Conditions outlined in the Startup Log, Items 2 and 3. Proceeding assumes that you understand the effort required to produce A22 as a “Competitive” Adventure and possess the sportsmanship ethics to not provide, or use Waypoints, or track/obstacle solutions to/from others.

A22 should only be considered by wilderness hikers with vertical
rock face and unstable, 70º+ slope climbing experience.

A22 is designed as a difficult 7 mile Adventure for competitive oriented Geocachers with a strong motivation to attack all challenges and locate the Final Cache in a single 7-9 hour day of very hard trekking. There are 4 Intermediate Caches (ICs), 1 or more Checkpoints (CPs) and a Final Cache. CPs are similar to ICs, except that they are intended to direct a specific route between ICs, are located very near, or directly on a track and require little or no searching time to locate (Cache Retrieval Difficulty = 1). The Location of the 1st IC is shown above. Don't consider this Geocache unless you have excellent open country GPS navigation skills, the tenacity of a Badger to push to extremes for a solution and the wisdom of an owl to know when to quit. A22 has a 1st and a lesser 2nd Finder Prize (Not Together), which exceed normal Geocaching standards and are equitable for the efforts required to complete this challenge. The time to complete A22 varies widely between 7 and 9+ hours – depending on your navigation skills, obstacle solution skills and Luck.

Important!! Before Starting out, Read Log Below For Updates/Additional Information. Bring Paper/Pen to record en-route information and to sign ICs, CPs.
