This is another cache in the series I’m doing in and around Winnipeg. These series of caches will focus on streets that “jump” and continue on.
This cache is located on Ness Avenue, The street was created in 1898. Ness runs east/west and starts at St. James Street. From there it runs all the way west until hits Cavalier Drive. At this point this is where the street “jumps” and doesn’t show up again until Buchanan Boulevard. From Buchanan it continues to run westward until it ends in a bay right before the perimeter.
Named for the Ness family, early settlers in this area of Winnipeg. Family members Garnet V. Ness and V. W. Ness were heroes in World War I.
