Tato cache se nachazi pobliz mravenist, ktera jsem poznal jako maly kluk pri hledani hub. Udelejte si maly vylet a schvalne kolik mravenist najdete v okoli. Ted neco malo k mravenistim.... Mraveniste je misto, ktere slouzi jako domoviste mravencu. Jedna se o umelou stavbu, kterou mravenci soustavnou praci buduji k preziti kolonie. Mraveniste maji ruzne podoby v zavislosti na druhu mravencu. Lesni mravenci vytvareji typicke kupy tvoreni jehlicim a drobnymi klaciky, jine druhy buduji mraveniste pod zemi, v listech, ci dutinach stromu. Mraveniste ma vnitrni usporadani, ve kterem se nachazeji zasobarny s potravou, chodbicky, komora s kralovnou a misto, kde se rodi novi mravenci. Lesni mravenci staveji mraveniste s dominantni orientaci smerem na jih, kde je pozvolnejsi svah. Severni strana je přrikrejsi. Takto postavene mraveniste umoznuje lepsi nakladani s energii, kdy mraveniste lepe akumuluje teplo. Soucasne ve slunecnem pocasi vychazeji hromadne lesni mravenci na povrch mraveniste, kde sva tela nahrivaji na Slunci a nasledne smeruji do vnitrku mraveniste, kde teplo vyzari. Have a little trip and try count how many anthills you will find in the surroundings. And now something about anthills. There are different types of anthills, depending on the particular kind of ants. Forest ants build typical mounds made of needles and small sticks, other kinds of ants build their dwellings under ground, in leaves or cavities of trees. An anthill serves as home for ants. It is an artificial construction that ants build so that the colony may survive. An anthill contains storerooms with food, passages, a chamber with the queen and a place where new ants are born. Forest ants build their anthills with dominant orientation towards south where the slope is milder. The North side is steeper. An anthill built this way facilitates management of energy – the anthill can accumulate heat more easily. Also, ants come up on the anthill on sunny days to catch energy from the sun. Then, they come back inside where the heat radiates into the anthill. In this way, they are able to raise the temperature in the anthill by up to 10 °C.
