This event is part of the ninth World Wide Flash Mob. Thousands of geocachers will come together at dozens of events around the globe, all gathering at exactly the same time.
At the previous WWFM in June 2011, nearly 10,000 people attended 215 events in 25 countries.
This event is only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
The theme for this Flash Mob is -
'Float your boat!'
So please bring along a boat or anything that you can float on the river - Which could range from a rubber duck to a full size canoe/kayak!
This Flash Mob will take place on the riverbank in Stamford and it will take place at 18.00hrs on Saturday June 9th
Provisional timetable -
18.00 - Appear as if from nowhere carrying/paddling your boat
18.02 - Place a piece of paper with your caching name on in the Top Hat provided
18.05 - Group photo shoot
18.08 - Float your boat/rubber duck on the river
18.15 - Everyone disperse in different directions - leaving confused passers-by wondering what the heck just happened... So please make sure you depart in a disorderly fashion!
