At 6pm on Saturday 9 June, something special will be happening. All over the world, cachers everywhere will be meeting simultaneously in flash mob events everywhere.
The agenda is simple: at 6pm, we all meet up, sign the log, take a group photo, and official business is concluded after about 15 minutes. After that, we will move to a nearby hostelry (depending on where the mood takes us) for a natter and other event-type stuff like TB-swapping. Who knows, if we get our acts together, we may have hidden a few new caches nearby, plus there are plenty in the vicinity already to go for.
There is a twist however - June 9 is Pirates of the Carribbean star Johnny Depp's birthday - so in his honour you have to dress (to at least some extent) as a pirate. So dust off your cutlasses and eye patches (we all have those in our wardrobe, don't we? Just us?)
I've chosen this location as its central and open, and is reachable from the railway station from those cachers travelling from afar. There are also nearby parking areas. Anyone who doesn't know the area who needs information - feel free to message us for assistance.
