Geocache Description:

This is the second cache I've placed inspired by geodetic datums. The first one I placed, GC2XCYE turned out to be pretty tough, since the way to find it is to search through many many datums. This one should be a bit easier, but still a good challenge.

This multi is interesting in that all stages have the same coordinates, N32 26.855 W106 45.256. This is made possible by placing each stage using a different geodetic datum. At each stage is a hint that will help you determine which datum to use next. To help you out, I've provided some information on each stage.

Stage 1 is indeed in WGS84. Whether you realize it or not, this is the standard datum used on geocaching.com. All cache listings are automatically mapped with this datum. For this one you are looking for an orange matchstick container.

Stage 2 is a silver bison tube hanging in a creasote.

Stage 3 is a green bison tube hanging in a creasote.

The Final is a camouflaged flat metal tin.

While this is a 4-stage multi-cache, it may end up feeling like 5-8. The hints at each stage do not always have unique answers, so a little guessing is involved. Of course, you can always resort to the same method used for my first datums cache, namely searching a whole bunch of datums until you get lucky, but that would be a whole lot of extra work now wouldn't it? Have fun on this little hill and enjoy the desert views.
