reloaded version of the archived GC1QRXW (Sala Kaeo Kou)
Sala Kaeo Kou, or Wat Khaek, was created by self proclaimed Lao Holyman Boonlua Surirat who also created the Xiang Khouan or the "Buddha Park" outside Vientiane, Laos prior to his fleeing Laos during the revolution in 1975. The park contains cast concrete Buddhas, Hindu deities, and other fantastic figures of enormous proportions in an attractive garden setting. It is worth the time and entrance fee of 10 baht (locals) and 20 baht (foreigners) to stroll the gardens. One can also feed the fish, a Thai favorite, in one of the many ponds.
