I understand that this cache location is transitioning back to Kyrgyzstan control- http://www.manas.afcent.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123413787. This has been a very popular geocache for transient US military personnel, but I'll likely close this cache down once I've confirmed that the base is, in fact, a Kyrgyzstan base or civilian airport (http://voiceofrussia.com/2012_09_20/Russia-Kyrgyzstan-s-bargain-suits-both/) once and for all to comply with geocaching rules concerning such installations.
I was real happy to find some geocaches placed here to beat the boredom the last time I was here, and decided I'd give back a little with a couple of caches of my own. This one is the result of a little hike I took to explore the wide open running trails. I was struck by the tree farm/groves here, and noticed there were two types of trees here. One is thin and craggly (if that's a good description), the others grow to be tall, narrow, but majestic. This is placed at a grand example of the second. If anyone knows anything about these trees or how they came to be here please share so I can post it. This is best taken during a run, take the chance to see all the different trails through this area.
FTF prize is a small LED tach light, also contians a set dice, but is looking for trackables and small or flat nick-nacks that won't over crowd the log book.
Congratulations to Assassin 6 for the FTF!!!
