Geocache Description:

We love the Post Box series in the other provinces of South Africa, and that made us notice that Gauteng has Post Boxes too! Hence, the reason for us to start the Post Box Series in Gauteng.

We invite other Gauteng cachers to be part of this Series. Should you find a post box in your area, please hide a cache as part of the Series and use the same naming convention, so that these caches can be found easily and as a group.

Post Box Series GP - Other Side of Sunny

Some Post Boxes are in the middle of nowhere, and have been there for years and years.

BEWARE HIGH MUGGLE ZONE!! This Cache is best done on the Weekend, when it is much quieter! Exercise extreme stealth please!!

This post box is situated outside a company and is under the watchful eyes of the security guard at the entrance.

You'll need to go to the listed co-ordinates to get the required information, in order to do a quick calculation to get the final co-ords.

There is a code made up of letters and a number on top of the Post Box.

If facing the front of the Post Box, take the first letter on the left-hand side and convert it to its equivalent number, i.e. a=1, b=2, c=3, etc. Let this be x.

Take the second last letter (the letter closest to the number), on the right-hand side and convert it to its equivalent number, i.e. a=1, b=2, c=3, etc. Let this be y.

Substitute the values into the following:

S 26 (33-x).((100*2)+500+74+x)

E 028 02.((458.5*2)+11+y)

Enjoy the hunt!
