The caches in this series are all placed with kind permission of the trust. With the exception of 'in Plain Site', they are accessed from the unwaymarked Green Walk. This walk follows bridleways, footpaths through the woods, crosses meadows and there is a short section of a no through road that is busy only during school drop off and pick up time. Please take some time to enjoy countryside and views here.
The trust keeps herds of Soay and Norfolk Horns sheep and a herd of Belted Galloway cattle. It uses these meadows to graze them so please keep dogs on the lead in the meadows and under close control elsewhere.
The walk starts at a small car park (N 51° 44.579 W 000° 30.583). An alternative larger car park by the 'Old Barn' is located at N 51° 44.325 W 000° 30.734, the walk also passes through this. Both these car parks are reached from the no through road signposted to Westbrook Hay School.
As the GPS does not work very well under the trees, the cache is about 3 metres from the fence and fairly near the corner of the field on the other side of the fence.
There have been comments that the bridleway is not marked on the OS map, the path runs from a kissing gate just to the north of the GZ. There is usually a mown path to it from either 'Little Lambsies' or from near the 'Old Barn' car park. In the winter it may be best to go this way as the bridleway can get VERY muddy.
Please replace the container where it belongs!
