In the South Bay there seems to be a cadre of avid puzzle cache solvers who all know each other, a sort of "in crowd". I don't want to encourage cliques like the ones I remember in high school, but if you want to be "in", here is a puzzle cache for you to solve and find.
Download the pdf file from here: The In Crowd. (Note: you can check your solution by solving the puzzle online here. A message will appear if you solved it correctly.) Solve the crossword, then count the number of times each letter appears in the grid. Solve the algebraic formulas below to obtain the coordinates. Each unknown in the formulas represents the number of times that letter appears in the grid. So if there are 12 A's but no Q's, for example, then a=12 and q=0.
Each formula produces a decimal result that should be added to the posted coordinates. In other words, the final coordinates are in the form N37 20.NNN W122 04.WWW. Just compute NNN and WWW and substitute.
NNN=(w+p)/(e*b+v)
WWW=(d*s+y+j)/(c*i+k)
