The Manitoulin Geocache Rendezvous Picnic Event will be held:
- Saturday, July 28, 2012 (rain or shine) 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Low Island Park, Little Current, Ontario
The MGRPE event is intended to promote Geocaching on Manitoulin Island; provide an opportunity to visit and Geocache on Manitoulin Island and to meet and mix with other friends of Manitoulin Island Cachers
The event will be at the Pavilions on Low Island where there is shelter, washrooms, picnic tables and an un-supervised sand beach for swimming close by.
NEW - Over 8 (not including the 5 placed on Low Island for the Poker Run) new caches have been placed and will be published for this event, AND Manitoulin's first Earth Cache has just been submitted for review:
There are a number of campgrounds and cottage rentals available on Manitoulin Island. If you wish information on accommodations, please email me.
A number of activities are planned including:
- Meet and greet other cachers
- Trackable Swap & Discover Table for TB’s and Geocoins
- Manitoulin History Trivia Contest
- Geocache Poker Run with all caches located within walking distance of event
