[FR] Un Tilleul dit de Sully sur la place du Village. Avec moins de 15 mètres de hauteur et 4,6 mètres de circonférence, on l'estime âgé d'environ 400 ans.
On dit que Sully avait obtenu un édit de Henri IV par lequel il était ordonné aux maires et aux échevins des mandements du Royaume, de faire planter un tilleul au-devant de la porte principale de l'église, afin que les habitants qui venaient entendre la parole de Dieu puissent, avant et après les offices divins, discourir sous les ombrages, de leurs intérêts et de ceux de la paroisse.

[EN] You will see a very old lime tree in front of the church. It is high less than 15 meters and it’s circumference is about 4.6 meters; it is estimated about 400 years old.
It is said that Sully, financial minister of Henri IV, between 1589 and 1610, had obtained a law from the king by which he was ordered to the mayors of the French Kingdom, to make plant an lime tree in the cemetery of all the parishes, in the front of the main door of the church, so that the inhabitants, before and after the masses, talk under shades, of their interests and those of the parish.
