Um der Winterkälte zu entfliehen verbrachten wir den Jahreswechsel in Lissabon, wo wir von der heimischen Cacher-Gemeinde aufs Herzlichste empfangen wurden, allen voran José vom Team Ribeiro. Er zeigte uns seine Heimatstadt, natürlich mit ganz vielen Caches. Als Erinnerung an diese portugiesisch-deutschen Freundschaft haben wir einen Partnercache gelegt, A piece of Germany in Lisbon – A piece of Portugal in Castrop-Rauxel. Warum nun gerade hier? Wir haben ja jetzt auch eine schöne, rote Brücke, zugegeben, nicht ganz so fotogen wie die über den Tejo, aber immerhin. Und in dem Lokal nebenan soll man auch portugiesische Gerichte finden.

Getting away from the winter coldness we went to Lisbon, where the local geocachers welcomed us warmly, especially José of Team Ribeiro. He showed us around his home town, and we could log lots and lots of caches, of course. To remember this Portuguese-German friendship we have placed a partner cache, A piece of Germany in Lisbon - A Piece of Portugal in Castrop-Rauxel. Why here? Well, there is a nice red bridge, not as beautiful as the one crossing the River Tejo. And there is a restaurant where you can probably find Portuguese meals.
