Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a great set of woods in which my best friend and I used to hike as kids, in the back of my old neighborhood. We used to call this area “The Trails” (I know, really creative, eh?). The terrain to this cache (and caches #2, 3, and 4 in The Lucky Charms series) includes a steep descent into a neat set of trails.

The cache is placed on private property with permission of the landowner. Please do not cache here at night...Thanks!

[NOTE: If you happen upon anyone who claims you're not allowed to be down here, please kindly (seriously...do it kindly) let them know that I (the cache owner) did call the landowners (an older couple that owns all of this land down here) to ask permission to place the caches and to have people come down to look for them. The landowners did mention to me that there are some local people who "keep an eye on things for them" down here...and that, if questioned by those people, you should just let them know that this HAS been arranged with permission from the landowners. Thanks!]

Wear long pants and long sleeves, as the area has a lot of muddy spots, and you'll do some bushwhacking. The trailhead in the listing provides the most effective entry point for anyone attempting the whole series – and gives you the experience of “The Trails” that is most true to mine as a kid.

This is the FIFTH in a series of six caches that I've placed in this vicinity; if you find all six caches (and gather the numbers written inside the tops of each of the caches), you will be able to figure out the coordinates for Pot O’ Gold (a large five-gallon bucket cache) located at another area in Beaver County (which, for the sake of the metaphor, we’ll just call “the end of the rainbow”). Be sure to read the description for Pot O’ Gold before searching for the other caches in the series, so you’ll know what to do with the numbers that you gather from the caches.

The cache is a tupperware container with a logbook and cache stash for trades.

From the trailhead, you'll venture down into "The Trails" and find caches #2, 3, and 4 in the series. You can find this cache as you climb back up out of the trails, up above the area we used to call "The Falls." If you've followed the trail back into the clearing near the creek (which we called "The Heart of the Trails"), you can follow the old hints of a path (which will require a good deal of an uphill bushwhack) to get to the area of the cache. The view from up there is pretty neat; you'll also notice that this area is in some serious need of CITO. :)

If you are attempting the entire Lucky Charms series during one visit, I would suggest finding this cache FIFTH. The entire list of caches, in the order I’d suggest you find them are:

1) Pink Hearts
2) Orange Stars
3) Green Clovers
4) Purple Horseshoes
5) Blue Diamonds
6) Yellow Moons

If you gather the numbers written inside the tops of each of the caches, you will be able to figure out the coordinates for Pot O’ Gold. Be sure to make note of which number(s) you located inside which cache, as you’ll need to know that in order to find Pot O’ Gold.

Please re-hide the cache exactly as hidden, so that future geocachers can enjoy the Lucky Charms series as it's intended. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the challenge!
