Chris has a big day planned, this Breakfast Meet and Greet, Westfest at Reiche Community Center followed by the Bug Light Kite Festival and our After Party Meet and Greet, GC3G0AQ. Come start the day off right with a pot luck picnic breakfast in the park!
Chris loves this GZ! We return to this same location for many Portland events. It's central to the playground and ravine. We will put our picnic blankets down here about 9:15am (after attending a church plant sale opening at 8:00am) and share a pot luck breakfast, nothing fancy. Fake and Bake is encouraged (Store bought, Tim Horton's or homemade are all good.) At 10:00, the Castle opens and we can find out what that's all about. We believe the Castle was once known as the Barking Squirl but none of Reed2ME as been in there so curiosity is killing the cat but satisfaction will bring him back.
Westfest is from 10:00-4:00. Admission is free for all who wish to come and enjoy the festivities. Entertainment, food, fun, arts and crafts, a silent auction, and lots more are in the works. We've gone in the past and had a wonderful time. The yard sales have totally rocked so we'll need a good breakfast to keep our energy up. There should be some good swag to find. We're planning to have lunch at the Bug Light Kite Festival BBQ prior to hosting our evening dinner event, Bug Light Kite Festival After Party Meet and Greet, GC3G0AQ.
Bring a picnic blanket and something to share for breakfast. Plan to join us for the morning or all day! If it's really warm, bring a towel and maybe a chage of clothes in case the ravine is open for wading in the water.
