Geocache Description:

Letter of Marque 2

Sttep back to the year 1812. War had been daclared between the fledgeling United States and Great Britain. Once again private citizens are being called upon to take to the sea to protect the trade routes that make life possible..
Join us at 10:00 of the fornoon to sign on as a crew member on tthe celebrated ship The Packet.
There will be caches and contests and booty galore. Put on your finrest sea going trogs and join our crew for a day of pillaging and plundering.
Make sure ye sign on with the crew before ye goes aplundering, for without a proper Letter of Marque ye will be hunted as a pirate and hanged by the neck until ye be dead.

Sunday the First day of July in the year of our Lord, 2012
10 O'clock of the forenoon sign the articles and receive your Letter of Marque
Spend the day pillaging and plundering
There will be domo caches for new cachers and lots of caches for the Old Salts
There will be prizes for the best attired Privateer or Pirate
3:30 of the afternoon we will hold a prize court to divvy up the spoils

There comes a time in every persons life when they decide it is time to hoist the Jolly Roger and go Pirating.
If you have ever wanted to dress like a pirate and run through the town, this is the event for you. Landlubbers are welcome too!
There will be grub and grog available for purchase and prizes galore.
