St.Peter’s is a small church with an aisleless nave, a chancel and a tower. There has been a church on this site since the 12thc - the re-set north and south doorways of the nave, which was rebuilt in 1868, are evidence of this. The chancel is 13thc and the three-stage west tower, with its tiled pyramidal roof, dates from the 14thc. The building material used is scarstone and pebble rubble with ashlar (finely cut ) dressing.
