Geocache Description:

An easy to find micro close to St. Peter's church in the pretty village of Wentworth which lies just south of the A142 between Ely and Chatteris, 4 ½ miles west of the City of Ely. (It does not have a golf course!)

St.Peter’s is a small church with an aisleless nave, a chancel and a tower. There has been a church on this site since the 12thc - the re-set north and south doorways of the nave, which was rebuilt in 1868, are evidence of this. The chancel is 13thc and the three-stage west tower, with its tiled pyramidal roof, dates from the 14thc. The building material used is scarstone and pebble rubble with ashlar (finely cut ) dressing.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
