Geocache Description:

A lovely area for a Geocache. Just off a popular track up to the mountains of The Cobbler and Ben Marnairn.

This geocache is just off a popular track up to one of Scotlands finest small mountains - The Cobbler (Ben Arthur). At just under 3000 ft it is not a Munro but it has three spectacular tops - Almost anyone with a reasonable level of fitness can get to the north top. The central top requires a good head for height and the south top requires some basic rock climbing skills. Park at the car park at the top of the loch (pay and display) or next to the old torpedo factory and either head up the marked path heading to The Cobbler of follow the dried up river bed. After you clear the tree line you will get to a small dam. The Geocache is nearby. Continue on up the hill and you will be rewarded with good view of The Cobbler and spectacular views down Loch Long to the River Clyde. On a clear day you can see as far as Ailsa Craig (halfway to Ireland). There's a set of comedy glasses and nose (hence the title don't be noesy!) so please take a photo of you wearing the glasses so we can see who visits.
