The Red Kite sculpture was created for the Salisbury International Arts Festival 2011 and is the fifth sculpture in a 5 year project.
Inspired by themes of air and flight, it aims to convey the predatory power, speed, agility and characteristic forked tail that make the Red Kite such an iconic bird.
Mentored by local sculptor Charlotte Moreton, the sculpture was built using welded and powder-coated steel tubing and perforated steel plates.
Full information on the sculpture is available from the info board next to the sculpture itself.
Congratulations to Duncs&Lisa for the FTF
