Come on out and meet other geocachers at this one time meet and greet event to enjoy two things I equate with the Jersey Shore: Summer and Subs.

A Central Jersey staple of food now served in Northern Virginia!

The first day of summer is tomorrow and I hope everyone can get out and enjoy it. Summer seems synonymous with the Jersey Shore, or simply just “The Shore” as we’d call it. It meant the beach, rides and games on the boardwalk, and delicious food. This venue is a franchise of one of the original sub shops from the boardwalk of Pt. Pleasant, one of the more notable shore towns of Central Jersey.

I grew up with this food. When I would spend late nights working on the technical team with my high school newspaper, our supervising teacher would go out and bring us a bunch of subs from the place to keep us all well-fed and in good spirits.

So come and enjoy this staple of The Garden State here in Northern Virginia with fellow cachers and have an opportunity to discuss any caching subjects as we head into the summer season. If anyone is inspired to take a trip to Jersey, I can certainly recommend a number of cool places to visit, see, and cache. Likewise, I’d love to hear any stories or perspectives about anyone else’s New Jersey experiences. You can optionally come dressed as “The Situation” or “Snooki” or anyone else like that if you feel it is part of your connection to the Jersey Shore. I myself will be there in Scarlet Red for my Jersey alma mater.
