The fifth of a series - locating the bonus will require an OS map.
This is a series of five caches and a bonus starting from Broadbridge Heath and taking you on a stroll of under three miles. The whole walk is on public footpaths and involves several stiles. There is roadside parking around N 51° 04.170 W 000° 22.118. As you begin the walk please take care of the traffic at the busy roundabout. Between #1 and #2 you will pass Mill Micro 39.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: For the bonus cache you will need to take with you the Ordnance Survey Explorer Map number 134, “Crawley and Horsham” (1:25,000 scale). You will need a pen and paper to record the answers, and you will need to be familiar with the concept of eastings and northings.
In each of the first five caches there is a copy of a 1km square from the OS map. When you have located this square on your map, the easting or the northing will give you two digits towards the bonus.
(Acknowledgements: Our thanks to eboracum whose ‘Brickworks’ series near Sheffield inspired this series.)
