Geocache Description:


We are back in Kirkwood Park for the SLAGA Spring Picnic 2012! The date is Sunday April 22, 2012. This is a great place with plenty of room for all of us and it is totally wheelchair accessible and dog friendly. There are also several playgrounds for the kids.


Also, at the Spring Picnic we start taking nominations for SLAGA Board Members in the upcoming election. Please keep this in mind and if you would like to nominate yourself or somebody else, please do. It is a great way to help the organization.

Please join SLAGA, we welcome new members!
SLAGA will be supplying the hot dogs, hamburgers & bratwursts, along with condiments, plates, napkins and utensils. We ask that you bring something to share and your drinks. The prices will be Adults $5.00, kids 5-12 $2.00 and kids 4 and under are free. Please RSVP as soon as you can so we know how much food to bring. Also let us know your preferences for the above mentioned meats.

We are having Geobingo, a 50-50 drawing, Silent Auction and a $3.00 table. Also the Closest to the Pin game & a Travel Bug table.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
◦Set up starts at 9:30 am.
◦Registration; Begins at 10:30 am.
◦Group Picture to be taken when sufficient gathering of attendees are available.
◦Lunch: Begins at 1:00 pm.
◦Silent Auction Bidding: Begins after you have registered and items have been placed.
◦Geocacher Bingo: Begins when you register and receive your card.
◦Poker Run: TBD
◦GPS Games:TBD
◦Silent Auction Bidding, and all games close @ 3:00 pm sharp! All Silent Auction purchases can be paid for shortly after closing.
◦50/50 Drawing -You must be present to win.
◦General Announcements, Silent Auction, 50-50, GeoBingo, Closest to the Pin results, and Premium Membership Drawing at 3:30 pm.


We will need some volunteers to help with the following jobs:

The 2012 SLAGA TB Race


1. Registration for the race will take place at the SLAGA picnic on April 22, 2012. If you are unable to attend the picnic you must email the trackable/cacher information by April 22, 2012.

2. Trackables must start new with zero miles on or after April 22, 2012.

3. Once the trackables have been placed no participants of the race will pick up any of the registered trackables.

4. Trackables must be placed by their owner in a cache within seven days of the picnic.

5. The trackable with the most miles on it by January 21, 2013 will be declared the winner.

6. The winner will be announced at the SLAGA Winter Potluck and Cabin Fever-2013.

7. Contact the Missouri Highlander or Highlander’s Lassie for questions or register trackable.

Also, SLAGA has ordered some new Travel Bug tags that will be available for cost ($4.25) at the picnic.
