About the St James' Weybridge Church Building For more than 800 years a church has stood on the site of St James'. The church is not only an important part of Weybridge's architectural heritage, but also a beautiful landmark that gives Weybridge its unique character. 1848 As the village's population increase St James' Church replaces the smaller 1450 St Nicholas church (small medieval church ) as it had become far too small for the hugely increased population of Weybridge. In churchyard are the chest tombs of the Duchess of York, Frederica Charlotte Ulrica, Bosomworth and Welland. Church designed by JL Pearson who later designed Truro Cathedral. Relics from St Nicholas church survive in St James'. Since its consecration in 1848, St James’ has been enlarged twice. The chancel was enlarged in 1889 and, soon after, the outer south aisle was added. The chancel arch, originally very little higher than the arches in the nave, has also been heightened by ten feet, thereby greatly enhancing the proportions of the building. St. James is a particularly fine example of the work of John Loughborough Pearson and is often described as the “Cathedral of the Thames Valley ” as the spire is a noted local landmark.

You are looking for a screw top container, it is covered in black paint and has a strong magnet attached. At time of placing it was about one foot off the ground. Stealth is required as the foot path is busy. There is a limited addition Ragged Robin token inside to log.......The cache is not in the church grounds...
