Geocache Description:

It's time for another Wherigo adventure! This time, you will be exploring Markey Park in Perkasie.

Release note: current version is 1.6 on Wherigo.com. See below for more details

Area History
In 1966, Pennridge Airport opened in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. It has one 4,215 foot runway, designated 8/26. About 81 planes a day land or take off from this little airport.1

Right next door is Willard H. Markey Centennial Park, named in 1996 for Willard Markey in honor of his dedication and service to the township of East Rockhill, on the Park and Recreation Board among other roles.2

Your Adventure Begins
Markey Park is a great place to have a picnic, go for a walk, use the skate park, sports fields, or golf driving range. Start off at the parking lot by the playground and picnic pavilion, fire up your Wherigo player, and get ready to explore this park on a pretty plane adventure.

If this Wherigo is your first trip Markey Park, you will have the opportunity to find not one but NINE geocaches through the course of this adventure, including the geocaches that were here before this Wherigo was placed, with each cache owner's permission.
