Geocache Description:

The famous bronze athlete is once again sprinting across Clifton Terrace rose garden, which was created using money donated by John Henry Quine, poet, author of “Songs of Mona”. Vandals struck in 2011, wrenching the statue from its plinth and destroying decorative lighting in the gardens at Glen Falcon Road, Douglas. The area is now restored to its former glory although the total repair bill has cost Douglas ratepayers £4,000. Turn your back on the cheeky chappie and you will see a plaque commemorating the benefactors. Use your geocaching skills to retrieve the nano cache and sign the log. Please bring your own pen or pencil - we reserve the right to delete logs if the cacher has not signed.

Handicaching aims to improve the accessibility of Geocaching for disabled people all over the world. By rating caches using a simple system, disabled geocachers can quickly find the caches they are able to do. Too often a 1 star or 2 star rated cache turns out to be impossible, causing dissapointment. These ratings aim to avoid that. You can help by taking a few moments to quickly rate the caches you have visited!
