bamafan323: Well, it deeply saddens me...but I don't think I can get this one repaired to the standards I hold myself too.

Thanks to everyone who hunted for this cache, and special thanks to those that gave a favorite point.

Geocache Description:

Cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates!

Zombies are in the land.

I know it to be true.
You know it to be true.
Even the CDC knows it to be true.

As a geocacher, you frequently find yourself in diverse locations, often far from the beaten path. For this reason, Zombie Killers, Inc. has asked for our help...they have asked us to assist in the hunt for zombies!

WARNING:This is not a task for the untrained, nor is it a decision to be taken lightly! You assume all risks associated with this task!

Zombie Hunters, Inc. has asked me to put together a program to train potential zombie hunters and allow them to earn an official Zombie Hunter License. The result of that request is the Zombie Emergency Survival Training (ZEST) program. Over the years, they have improved this training program based on feedback, new information, and trainee survival rates. They proudly boast one of the highest trainee survival rates of any registered training programs in the United States! At the ZEST school, the training is broken into two critical parts; a short classroom section and a robust field training exercise.

The classroom section, though fairly short in duration, helps the aspiring zombie hunter to recognize the clues and develop the ability to make good decisions while under pressure. Developed after years of feedback and bloodbaths, this part of the curriculum has nearly doubled the survival rate of the field exercises!

The intense field exercise is designed to assist the trainee in transitioning the lessons of the classroom into a practical field environment, and allows the trainee to demonstrate a mastery of key zombie hunting skills. Upon successful completion of both the computer simulation training and the in-field scenario, you will be able to sign the sacred logbook of the zombie hunter and claim your official Zombie Hunter License.

How to complete the Zombie Emergency Survival Training

Step 1. Complete the ZEST computer simulation training by clicking here. The video will take you through a series of realistic scenarios that require you to make choices of which actions to take along the way, so watch and listen carefully for cues. If you choose wisely, you will continue on in the simulation. If you choose...poorly...we suggest you take notes, as poor choices in the field could be fatal.

Step 2. Take note of two long number strings in the completion video of the ZEST computer simulation training. If you successfully compete the computer simulation you will notice two significant “boxes” in the final video. Both boxes have strings of numbers on them. There will be a big box at the 0:59 mark (some might consider it a giant box and it will have a string of seven numbers) and a small box at 1:49 (it is black and it will have a string of ten numbers). You may need to rewind and pause to get a long enough look to write down every number. Place the number strings into the grid below; you will use these to determine the coordinates for the field training in Step 3.

Step 3. Figure your coordinates for the field training exercises by substituting the letters in the coded coordinates below with the appropriate number from the step 2.

North coordinates are:
North TR° PF.RSB

West coordinates are:
West JIK° CT.ENS

Step 4. Complete the in-field training by locating and signing the sacred logbook of the zombie hunter.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
