The 2012 Venona Activies puzzle ON MARK, GETTING SET, GRO! left most of the Geocachers of the Bay Area at the mercy of The Rat to provide us with a solution. And while waiting for the final event venooney taunted the community to retrieve the Venona Banner and also employed a cipher of this flavor. Once again we appeared to be be at the mercy of The Rat for a solve.
I finally decided that it was time I created my own solver for this cipher type. It was a growing experience as I discovered a few new tricks in the process. It turned out not to be terribly difficult and my solver does a decent job at solving the above two puzzles. So I figured I'd give everyone else the opportunity too. Have at it.
