How to find the cache area?
Driving on the Old Road Rethymo / Iraklion turn at Waypoint 1 to Moni Vosakou. Follow the good way until Waypoint 2. Here try take the left road up to Koutsoutroulis. Normal the road is closed, but you can ask for the key in the taverna. Hopefully the taverna is open. On weekends should be a good chance. Otherwise you can walk up the 4 km dirt road to the top at 1060m. The altitude difference is about 600m. In summertime do not forget to take enough water with you. It is a big help to find the cache easily.
The Cache:
The cache is a small one (plastic container) with a logbook, pen and pen sharpener and some items to trade. It is hidden in a rock and covered with stones. We think the cache should not be difficult to find, but we set the terrain level 3,5 because the long way up nearly to the top. Have fun here.
You can combine this cacheing tour for example with: Moni Vosakou, Geotrail 1-4, and Hiking in Vosakou. So there is no risk to have a boring time here but a big chance to have a lot of fun.
