It is no more dangerous than most places but it is probably not advisable to go into the wood on your own in the dark is it?
You will be following a trail of green reflector strips through the woods, so you will need a torch to identify the route. (On a recent trip I noticed an unrelated trail of white reflectors, don't get them confused. The green ones are fewer and further between!!) I used a pretty normal torch, so special equipment is not necessary. In fact a mediocre torch is better than a very bright one! The route does go off the marked paths into the woodland so you should be careful and watch out for steep banks and muddy sections!! (Wellies maybe?)
When you get to GZ shine your torch around the clearing to find two green reflector strips. I have tried to attach the reflectors to branches just above head height so that people cannot easily remove them.
Stand by the reflectors and look for the next one by shining your torch into the trees around, and then walk to the next one . If there is a big change of direction then there are two strips, otherwise it generally continues ahead. You may need to take a step or two to the side to see the next one.
There are a couple of reflectors missing. When you get to a reflector where there is a steep slope to your right, go down the slope. Facing down the slope, turn left at the bottom and you should find the next reflector.
When you get to the cache site it is an obvious dead end with two horizontal strips. It is hidden in the base of the adjacent tree, well stickoflaged! It is a temporary container so please try not to get things stuck inside and replace carefully. There are some appropriate treats for each person, please only take one each.
Retrace your steps back to GZ, and there is a single reflector to help identify the path back to the carpark.
