From #1 continue along the path (left of the bridge) and parallel to the railway. Walk past the duckpond (on the right) and through the gateway, marked by a white post. Immediately turn left and go over the stile between the trees, and up the bank, the cache is near the top.
Here we planned on following the path back on on the diagonal towards the stream, and crossing (as shown on the OS map) but, unfortunately the gate is barred so plan B was called for
