AddHam: We've talked about archiving this one for a while now. And it would've been gone last year had I had some time to take the kid through the cartridge one last time. Today was the day and we had fun running through the game on the phone and grabbing the Smurfs as we went along. There were 2 Smurfs we couldn't locate (one was known but Papa was surprising). Most Smurfs showed signs of animal scratches and they were dirty...seen better days. We also couldn't locate the cage because the spot had changed so much with fallen trees and such. We'll head back out sometime this summer and look again. The final was shot. the container was in great shape but the ceramic Smurf house was broken in. We broke it more to get it in the backpack and headed out. Of course, placing a new cache in its place first!

This one doesn't get found or even played very often so we decided to just take it out and make room for the condensing of the Challenge Trail. Thanks to those that did play through.

The Smurfs Wherigo will take you on a journey through the world of Smurfs. The evil but dim-witted Gargamel, with the help of his cat Azrael, has schemed up another plan to capture the Smurfs for use in a potion that will turn lead into gold. Can you help the Smurfs thwart him and escape back to their hidden village? You will need to find and talk to Smurfs that have the information you need. Good Luck! The Smurfs was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. However, this Cartridge may or may not be friendly to very small kids. If yours can handle moving along hilly terrain and some light bushwhacking, they'll do fine on this one. This is a large file size cartridge including many photos and sound files. Save your game often and we recommend playing on a smartphone as opposed to a Garmin device. When in doubt, restart the cartridge. There is almost no poison ivy in these woods. What is Wherigo? For those of you who don't know, Wherigo was created as a means to reintroduce the adventure game genre by making it easy for anyone to create and play location-based adventures in the real world. Using Wherigo, the physical world becomes the background for engaging story lines and location-specific virtual entertainment. Wherigo is a platform that allows you to build location based GPS experiences on your computer and play them in the real world. Rather than searching for puzzle clues on a screen, you look for them in the field. Using Wherigo, you can create interactive tours, adventure games and puzzles... the possibilities are endless.
