RTF - Moore's Creek East 1 Traditional Cache

A small series along a rarely used portion of the Rivanna Trail. Some hides are easy, some a bit technical. The terrain is generally at least 2.5* here, owing to the fact that the trail is a bit rough in a few places. The Rivanna Trail rules apply; in particular, the trail is open from dawn to dusk only. Please refer to the related web site for details.

Use the waypoints listed to access the trail and the caches. As of July 2020, this portion of the Rivanna Trail is no longer a dead end spur. You can park at either end, Quarry Park or Woolen Mills, but of course you will still have to go all the way back to your parked car. The caches cannot be accessed from the highway (Rt. 20).

You will pass Quanderers Quarry shortly after the trail head and foot bridge; after that, take a left at the fork to where the trail crosses under Rt. 20.
