Come celebrate a day that celebrates women and bicycling by cheering on the cyclists at the 10:00am start line!
Mama registered as a cyclist for the 11th Annual Women's Ride in Freeport, ME on June 3, 2012 but Mama knows what it's like to ride in warm July rain. She doesn't want to know what it's like to ride in a cold, June rain that's causing flooding on the roads but may suck it up to do the 5 mile route. As of 6:41pm Saturday, "The Women’s Ride is ON. We expect the rain to subside and are ready for a fun day tomorrow. We have cancelled the after ride picnic at Gritty’s, but the rides will leave as scheduled." The 5 and 15 mile ride start time is 10:00am. Many cyclists will change to these routes due to the weather. Weather.com is calling for 100%-90% precip of rain from 10:00-11:00am at 53 degrees that feels like 49 degrees. Many of these riders will have returned by 11:00am. Reed2ME will be there for registration by 9:30am with Mama either on her blue hybrid bike or cheering at the start line.
