Hobditch Hunt – a series of 40 caches varying in size from nano to regular brought to you by Butttercup and Stormystorm, on a circuitous route around the Warwickshire countryside just north of Ullenhall encompassing public footpaths, bridleways, crossing railway lines and the occasional garden and working farm, quiet country lane stretches and slightly busier ones – please cross the railway and walk the roads with care – the next footpath won’t be far away. Terrain a combination of flat walking, gentle inclines and a couple of hills, kissing gates, livestock gates, stiles (not all dog friendly) and the inevitable mud at times, hence an overall terrain rating for all caches. Expect sheep, cows, horses and deer. Total distance circa 9.5 miles (more accurate readings gratefully accepted please) yet the total walk can be broken down into 2 or 3 shorter walks as it crosses itself more than once. There are a number of suggested parking areas around the route and caches are numbered to aid route planning – feel free to do them in whichever order you prefer!
You are looking for a small clip-lock type container, BYOP. Expect horses in the fields around here.
