Back behind Mt Stromlo you will find Stony Creek! It's a nice little creek with stones in it! It's very peaceful there, and there are some nice views to the back of Stromlo Observatory; especially with a thunderstorm approaching! The easiest way to get there is via the stile! (Listed coordinates) Once at the stile - note the following:
AB = number of stile steps (not including platform)
C = number of wires above stile
D = C+1
Now calculate GZ = 35 18.BAC, 148 58.CDD
It should be less than 1/2km away! No need to cross any fences except for a gate at the start, and of course the stile! Oh, and there may be one or two creek crossings, depending on the season! It is a little steep at GZ - so you may need the spoiler picture! (Attached).
