St Seiriol's Church, named after Seiriol of Penmon, a friend of St Cybi. For more information on St Cybi's Church, have a look at my other cache Church Micro 2497...Holyhead-St Cybi
The church was built on 1854 and was designed by Charles Verelst
The building was declared unsafe and was demolished in 1992, a couple of years after the spire was removed.
Legend has it that St Seiriol and St Cubi frequently crossed Anglesey to meet at the middle for a bit of a jangle. With Cybi travelling East in the morning and back home West in the afternoon and Seiriol travelling from West from Penmon in the morning and East in the afternoon Cybi always had the sun in his face and Seiriol always had his back to the sun so they became known as 'Seriol Wyn a Chybi Felyn' - White Seriol and Yellow Cybi
The cache is at the back of the cemetery and only accessible from inside the grounds. You do not need to get close to any graves to retrieve the cache and need to leave the path by no more than a metre.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
