Geocache Description:

We probably all have seen footage of Kennedy saying this famous sentence with which he showed the support of the United States for West Germany.

However, what he probably didn’t know was that a “Berliner” also is the name of a very delicious jelly-filled German pastry. In fact, many Germans think about this pastry rather than a Berlin citizen when hearing this word. When growing up in Germany it was a tradition in my family to celebrate each other’s birthdays with cake and preferably “Berliners”.

Although I haven’t found a place in Bloomington that makes these “Berliners” I would like to invite you nevertheless to eat some cake with me in order to celebrate my birthday!

Where: Rose Well House, IU campus Bloomington

When: Monday April 9th, 6 pm

What: delicious birthday cake
