Geocache Description:

Second cache in a short series around sandford-on-thames (sort of like a series within a series with this one ;D) > St.Andrews Parish Church was founded in 1080 and the village appears in the Doomsday Book. The Sandford Cartulery is a major document of Norman England. The Benedictine Convent (now The Priory pub) and Knights Templars House (now Four Pillars Hotel) are still in the Parish. The Church was rebuilt in 1840 and the nineteenth-century school closed in the 1960s. The paper mill at the lock was demolished in 1983 and has become a smart residential area. Note to Geocachers: Parking is available along the church road, cache location is abit further down from the church but still in view (also make sure the cache is securely placed back in its hiding place, thanks) :D Happy Caching

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
